She can become emancipated. It's tough to do, she has to show a judge that she can finish school, keep a job, and take care of herself....have her talk to a lawyer it's free just to talk!!

I moved out when I was 16. I got myself a job and wandered around from place to place and put myself through education. It's a lot of work, balancing school and work, trying to support yourself. You can get emancipated, but that needs a court order,I believe...how I did it was that I moved out first..and im almost 20 now and I'm getting a pro bono lawyer to help me get myself declared independent.

that's not a good reason for a teen to be removed from the parents. My mom does that to me all the time except for the German-Jewish part. But if the teen can't stand it, then spend more time out of the house and if they ask why, tell the parents, "I don't like being around people who make me feel bad".
But if it gets to the point where she wants to kill them, then get emancipated, but make sure you can support yourself and keep your education intact. But before you try separation, make sure you have enough money, just in case. |

.... having difficulty with your parents and family is apart of the suffering one experiences during thier teen years.... just becuase this particular teen is experiencing some uneasiness in thier homelife doesnt necessarily mean they need to become emancipated. This teen needs to confront thier parents about the damage and abuse they are causing thier self esteem by constently critizing and insulthing her. If your not up for that and are looking for a change then join a sports team, extra curlicular activity. broaden one's horizons. get into a really good college and then move away. problem solved.

You are always going to be german and Jewish this is something you cannot change and I dont think if you went to the courts and asked to be "divorced" from your parents for that reason they will allow it.
